BINGO
In August of 2004 I created a replica of a daubed bingo card while playing around in Photoshop. At the time my partner Bob and I were going to a bingo hall about once a week to play, and I was just being a little silly, but I liked the way it turned out. So I made another. Then I made another. Over time the images grew more complicated and personal while still retaining the basic grid and numbering system as a framing device. There are currently six different series:
Series One (complete)
Series Two (five featured models, in progress)
Series Three (in progress)
Series Four (family history, in progress)
Series Five (several featured models, in progress)
Series Six (aviation, in progress)

GRAFFITI
For the past couple of years I've worked in the airline industry as an agent on the ramp. The cargo bins on airplanes are usually filled with graffiti. I've seen some amazing stuff - funny, detailed, misspelled, offensive, and stupid. I started taking photos of my favorites with the camera on my cell phone.
My friend Bill raised the proposition that it's like "a 'secret' communication between people doing [my] job...messages that get transmitted by the medium actually being transported from place to place". I like that idea.
